Laura is zealous about using her extensive trial experience as a Deputy District Attorney to help those accused of crimes, navigating college and campus investigations, and dealing with divorce and child custody issues. She grew up in Northern Colorado and attended college at the University of Colorado at Boulder. After college she moved to the Central Park neighborhood in Denver and attended law school at the University of Denver. While in law school she worked at the Denver District Attorney’s Office in their Cold Case and County Court Units. After graduating law school, she started working at the Boulder District Attorney’s Office where she spent the majority of her time in the Sexual Assault Unit. She has presented extensively on college and campus investigations as well as how respondents’ and complainants’ participation impacts the investigations and potential prosecution. Laura has tried over 100 cases, including misdemeanor and felony offenses, DUI, Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault on a Child, Child Pornography, other sex offenses, and Homicide. She now uses her extensive experience and expertise in her representation of clients.
