Laura uses her extensive trial experience as a Deputy District Attorney to help client’s going through divorce and custody issues, victims of crime in civil and criminal cases, and officers who are in need of representation due to criminal, employment, or family law matters. She grew up in Greeley, Colorado and attended college at the University of Colorado at Boulder. After college she moved to the Central Park (fka Stapleton) neighborhood in Denver and attended law school at the University of Denver. While in law school she worked at the Denver District Attorney’s Office in their Cold Case and County Court Units. After graduating law school, she started working at the Boulder District Attorney’s Office where she spent the majority of her time in the Sexual Assault Unit. During her time at the Boulder DA’s Office she completed over 100 jury trials and successfully negotiated thousands of fair resolutions, she uses that litigation and negotiation experience while working with victims of crime, in divorce cases, and child custody cases as well as defending those accused of crimes. She has worked extensively with officers in private practice and as a Senior Deputy District Attorney. She understands how officers can be impacted by internal investigations, critical incidents, and divorce/custody cases. Her experience working with officers has provided a necessary insight that allows her to successfully represent them. She has presented extensively on college and campus investigations, forensic interviews, and sexual assault investigations. Laura was named the statewide Prosecutor of the Year in 2020 and presented with the Champion for Children award in 2019. Laura now uses her extensive experience and expertise in her representation of clients.
